Waterfall Savica The Savica waterfall is one of the most visited sights in Bohinj. As early as 1807, the 78-meter-high Savica waterfall, which supplies the Sava River, was visited by the Austrian Archduke John of Habsburg, the grandson of Empress Maria Theresa. Today, from the starting point - Koča pri Savici mountain hut - a beautifully landscaped tourist trail leads to the waterfall. The ascent of 553 steps will take you to the waterfall in twenty minutes of walking through the forest. In between, benches are available to relax. 1 hour , Admission not included Bohinjsko Jezero Bohinj is located in the heart of the Julian Alps, the biggest lake in Slovenia. The twenty-four villages in and above the valley hide the attractive riches of the past, the cheerfulness of the present and the mystery of the future.
