Waterfall Savica The Savica waterfall is one of the most visited sights in Bohinj. As early as 1807, the 78-meter-high Savica waterfall, which supplies the Sava River, was visited by the Austrian Archduke John of Habsburg, the grandson of Empress Maria Theresa. Today, from the starting point - Koča pri Savici mountain hut - a beautifully landscaped tourist trail leads to the waterfall. The ascent of 553 steps will take you to the waterfall in twenty minutes of walking through the forest.
